A community board made by people who live here, for people who live here. Nomads, locals, surfers, expats, capariquenses — all of us.
Why does this exist?
If you've been around Costa da Caparica for more than a week, you know how it goes. You need something — a plumber, a ride, a second-hand bike — and your best bet is scrolling through five different WhatsApp groups, two Facebook groups, and a Telegram channel. Half the messages are memes, the other half are three months old. Good luck finding what you need.
And even when you do find someone, you don't really know who they are. Is this person legit? Will they actually show up? That's where mutual connections help — when you visit someone's profile, you'll see if you both know people in common.
There's no single place where the Caparica community can just post what they're selling, looking for, hosting, or offering — without the noise, without things getting lost in chat history, without having to join yet another group.
So we made one.
How it works
What is this?
A community board organised into five sections — Buy & Sell, Accommodation, Events, Professionals, and Help. Post in the one that fits, browse the rest, and see the latest from across Caparica on the home page. No feeds full of unrelated content, no algorithms — just real people helping each other out.
Who is it for?
Anyone around Costa da Caparica. Digital nomads, long-time locals, surfers passing through, expats settling in, capariquenses born and raised. If you're here, this is for you.
Do I need to sign up?
Only if you want to post something or contact someone. Browsing the board is completely open — no account needed.
How do I connect with someone?
A few ways. You can leave a public comment on a post, hit +1 to show you're interested without saying anything, or just start a conversation. You message back and forth first — and only share your contact details, turning it into a connection, once you're ready. All your conversations and connections live in the Network hub. Simple, no drama.
Selling a bunch of stuff at once?
Moving out, clearing the garage, or just downsizing? When you post something for sale you can start a bundle and group several items under a single sale page — each item keeps its own page and contact button, all grouped under one shareable bundle. Mark items as available, reserved, or sold as you go.
Looking for a place to stay?
The Accommodation section has a map. See rooms and whole places around Costa da Caparica, filter by when you need it, and switch between a list and the map. Hosts pin where their place is — and choose whether to show a blurred area for privacy or the exact spot — and mark the dates it's available, so you can find somewhere in the right part of town and reach out.
Offering a service, or looking for one?
The Professionals section is for the people who do things around here — teachers, cleaners, surf instructors, you name it. One account can list several services, and once you've worked with someone you can leave them a star review. The pro can reply publicly, and their overall rating follows them on their profile.
What's on this week?
The Events section lists what's happening, grouped by when it is. Tap "Going" to let the host know you'll be there, and add any event straight to your Google Calendar.
The kind of stuff people post
Your info, your rules
Your email and phone number are never shown publicly — not on your posts, not on your profile, nowhere. They're private by default.
In your profile settings, you control exactly what gets shared: you can toggle "Share email with contacts" and "Share phone with contacts" on or off whenever you want.
When someone reaches out, you chat in a conversation first — your email and phone stay hidden. The other person only sees the details you've chosen to share once you decide to share contact and connect. No sharing, no access.
Changed your mind? Just flip the toggles in your profile — it takes effect immediately. You're always in control.
